Is it possible to retrieve participants' Person ID in advance?

Hi community,I hope you're doing well. I’d like to know if there’s a way to retrieve the Person ID of each participant in advance, either through an API or any other method that allows us to access this information before downloading a project distribution in Employee Experience.As far as I know, the Person ID, which is unique for each employee, is displayed when downloading the project distribution. However, I’m looking for an alternative to extract this information beforehand.I’d appreciate any guidance or suggestions you can share.Thank you in advance!

Widget that shows me only: for all the months/years the data was collected, the lowest NPS value.

I want a widget that shows me only, for all the months/years the data was collected, the lowest NPS value. With Top and Bottom I can only get the value of the question (0-10), and with the custom metric or NPS, it doesn’t provide Bottom or Top. Anyone have ideias?

Using Javascript to force response on dropdown questions in Javascript/HTML table?

I made a Javascript/HTML table which has multiple dropdown questions (labeled as "dropdown1_left", "dropdown1_right", etc.) within the table that I want to be required. I have not been able to figure out how to make this work. Below is my code for this specific function. When I take the survey, the console log says “Listener must be a named function.” so this may be causing the problem. When I hit the next page button, I do get a pop-up saying “Please make a selection for all required dropdowns.” but it still moves on to the next page. So some level of the validation seems to be working but ultimately not the most important part (I want it to not allow users to go to the next page until all dropdowns are answered).Any thoughts on how to make this work? I’m pretty new to Javascript and especially using it in Qualtrics so I am hoping to learn how to code this in. Scales slider with 3 statements, want all statements to total 100.

I have a slider question where I need the numbers from statements 1, 2, and 3 to total 100.IE respondent A count answer 1=50, 2=50, 3=0. respondent B could be 1=20, 2=40, 3=40, etc...I see that I can set min and max per statement, but I need the max to bee for ALL of the statement scores combined.Also how would I do this same thing where they must total 100 on a form field?

SMS invite links different to Email invite links?

Hi everyone,My organisation has just launched a large survey and we're attempting to maximise our response rate by using both Email and SMS distributions. This has been easy enough, but I've noticed that the survey link generated in the email distributions are different to those in the SMS. Consequently, users receive two separate surveys.In itself this isn't a huge deal, but it will be a problem when we send out reminders to unfinished respondents. Users that will have completed the email survey will still receive a reminder via SMS, and vice versa for SMS completions.Does anybody have a solution so that one single survey link can be sent/tracked, and we can still send reminders to unfinished respondents? I am trying to avoid manually creating updated distributions through checking who has responded.Current solutions I have considered:Adding a personal survey link as embedded data and using that in email/SMS messages (I don't believe this will let us use reminders, as this is no longe

Javascript code to set validation using the previous selected options and current rank oder

Hi all, I am new to javascript. The validation rule I want is that respondents pass current Rank Order if the options ranked in the last two positions of the current Rank Order question are the same as the options selected in the previous Multiple Choice question (both questions have identical options and corresponding recode values). If this condition is not met, the respondent should see a warning (like a forced response message in red text below the question) when they click next. Three measure longitudinal with embedded data and customised follow up dates

I am new to Qualtrics and have a relatively complex longitudinal survey. I believe I have identified the necessary steps for this to run smoothly, but I am looking for confirmation the steps I have outlined below are the best route to take and have a few specific questions. Some details as to the study design:Three measures The first measure of the survey will be distributed via an anonymous link through newsletters, on social media, on websites etc. Participants will provide their email address in the first measure to which the second and third measure can be automatically distributed. Participants will provide a date in the first measure which will inform when they should receive the second and third measure (second measure at the end of the day on the date they have provided and third measure three months after that date). So the follow up date is personal to each participant. Participants will provide the name of a location in the first measure that I would like to display to them

Question Label Issues and Missing Data in Cells

Can anyone explain why my questions appear in some cells but not in others? I’ve attached screenshots for reference.Also, does anyone know why there are "#" added at the end of my question labels when I didn’t include them? When I check my survey and click on the box with my question numbers, those "#" don’t show up.

How to randomize to groups using rank order answers

Hi all,I am doing an online study with 2 main groups (those who either answer 1 or 4) in a rank order question. However, there would be four videos that correspond to each of the four items in the rank order question. For example: Please rank these four brands from best to worst (1-4). Each option has a video that corresponds to it that I would like them to watch. However, I would like to randomize half of the participants to watch the video that corresponds to their top brand choice (1) and half of the participants to their last brand choice (4). How would I go about this? Thanks!

Scoring Highlight Question for Correct/Incorrect Responses

I am using Qualtrics’s Highlight Question for a proofreading task which allows respondents to select errors in a sample of text. I have one category called “Click here to mark the error.” Here is an example: When I export this data to CSV, the respondents’ answers are long strings of numbers separated by commas. For example, my response looks something like this within a single cell of a CSV file under column “Proofread_1”:  “1594,1607,1611,1619,1621,1625,1629,1637,1641,1646,1649” (quotations added by me).My question is: How can I convert these numbers into scores indicating how many errors were identified correctly within Qualtrics?If it’s not possible to create a sum score of correctly identified errors in Qualtrics, it would be helpful to export the data in a different format, perhaps by separating responses for each word into a separate column or coding each response as 1 = correct, 0 = incorrect.Any guidance would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Issues with Weighting - results changed on dashboard

Is anyone experiencing issues with Qualtrics weighting?  I suspect that something changed over the weekend. When I checked the results on my dashboard last week, the results were displayed correctly / as expected. Coming back Monday morning, there are lot of discrepancies in the results. The results This is true for all our historical dashboards and closed projects too.

List Users API not returning full list of users

When I call the List Users API (https://api.qualtrics.com/c9eeb409d7fe2-list-users) curl --request GET \ --url https://iad1.qualtrics.com/API/v3/users \ --header 'Accept: application/json' \ --header 'X-API-TOKEN:  MYTOKEN ' I get a list of exactly 100 users, which is kind of suspicious (and no error messages ).We have about 190 users.Ideas? Pick Group Rank question to Dynamics increase size of image

I am doing a survey that will assist in budgeting. I want to use the Pick, Group, Rank question to allow people to pick certain items and when certain items are picked have that add length to a single line/bar object below the question. However, this bar needs to have a max value, and the items need to have varying values. Let’s say the items to pick from are ice cream, soda, brownie and cake. I only have $5 to spent so I need to choose from these choices and stay under the max value. The values of the items and the amount I have to spend need to be hidden but will cause the line of bar to grow by a certain amount and max out at a certain length.Let’s say ice cream is 1$, soda is $2, brownies are $3, and cake is $4. So, in theory I could “pick” Ice Cream and Cake and proceed to the next page but if I try to also add a Brownie, I’d get an error message saying I’ve exceeded that maximum amount, and I need to adjust my items before I can continue to the next page. Is this possible in Qual

View Individual survey links

I have a workflow which imports contacts, with a number of embedded data fields, daily through the Qualtrics File Service. It then uses an XM Directory task to add these contacts to a mailing list, and distribute the survey via email to each contact.This task uses individual links to send the survey. The survey will have some individuals who receive the email, but never complete the survey; in fact, some won’t even start the survey. In this case, for both individuals who have started but not finished the survey, and also for individuals who never even clicked the link in the email, I need a way to view the link that they received (effectively, a way to complete the survey for them). I was wondering if this is possible? Do I somehow have to switch over to using personal links, which isn’t even an option for XM Directory Tasks? or is there some functionality i’m missing. I thought of using Q_URL as an embedded data field, but this would only work for contacts who actually start the surve

I keep getting this error when trying to upload a sensitive data policy JSON file: Error: 0 is not a valid key. Enter 'default' or a valid language code. However, there is nothing in the file that indicates a language code in the file, nor is there any zeros in the file other than in an ID

Word Export Feature

The recent “upgrades” made to the survey platform removed our ability to download or export survey results directly to a word document. I had to revert to the old dashboard to maintain this function. However, I am concerned that Qualtrics will be phasing out the ability to export to a word document entirely. I spent quite a bit of time with Qualtrics support and my campus IT department, and there is not any workaround that would be sufficient if this feature is permanently disabled. Is anyone else concerned about losing this feature?

Auto advance for matrix question

Hi,for the past 3 years I was using the following JS for simulating an auto advance on matrix questions. Qualtrics.SurveyEngine.addOnload(function(){ /*Place your JavaScript here to run when the page loads*/ var that = this;var choices = this.getChoices( "radio" ).length;this.questionclick = function( event, element ){ var selected = that.getSelectedChoices().length; if ( choices == selected ) { that.clickNextButton(); }}});This code worked like a charm - but stopped working about 2 months ago! The current behaviour is:Once all subquestions in the matrix are answered, the next button gets clicked and the next question is displayed. BUT also on the next question, the next button is clicked and this question is basically not displayed. Is anyone aware of any changes made by Qualtrics, which could cause this behaviour?Or is there a different solution for auto advance on a matrix question? Thanks!Manfred
