Hiding side-by-side statements pending previous statement answer

I've got a side-by-side question with 5 statements as shown:Ideally, I'd like to hide (or blank out) Segments 2, 3, 4 and 5 unless "No" is selected for "Have you arrived at home?" in the previous statement (in this case, Segment 1). If "No" is selected in Segment 1, then Segment 2 is shown but Segments 3, 4 and 5 are hidden, unless "No" is selected for "Have you arrived at work?" in Segment 2 ...etc until all 5 segments are visible. Is there any easy way to do this? I tried just standard display logic built into the question for each statement but I don't think that worked because it was within the same question.Thanks!

Custom Code - Dropdown list filtered based on results submitted by specific respondent

I have a scenario where several people are reviewing other staff members. I have it set up now where the first question of the survey is a dropdown list filled with the people they are reviewing which is coming from the contact list, display logic showing only if data is in the contact list for that field. After they select the person they are reviewing, they go through the survey, answer questions, submit for that person, refresh the page, re-authenticate and select the next person from the dropdown.The issue I’m having, is that I’d like the dropdown to remove the last person that that person reviewed, so their list gets shorter the more people they review, so its easier for them when they have 20 people to review. Qualtrics support pointed me here and said I could use a custom code for this. Some people are reviewed by several different people, so I’d only want them to drop off the drop-down for that specific person who evaluated that person, so that person would still show up on Eva

Query String Data Not Populating

Good morning. I am using the same survey for multiple partners. Our partners will complete the survey multiple times in a given year, so I want to differentiate the data based on partner, year of the survey, and survey number (1, 2, 3, etc). I am using External Data Reference to identify the various partners and query strings to identify the year and survey data. In testing, all of the data came through in the results through the URL. However, a partner just used the data LIVE and neither the year nor the survey number appears in the data. Urgent: Javascript for numpad keyboard doesn't work in Simple layout

I added the following JS to a few questions to force the numpad keyboard to appear on phones for text input:jQuery("#"+this.questionId+" input[type='text']").attr('type', 'tel');Then I switched to the Simple Layout in Look and Feel tab. I really like this theme so wanna keep it. However, the questions with JS for numpad now show the full keyboard on phones; the code doesn’t seem to be working anymore.Any idea what could be the reason here?

SMS Distributions in XM Directory and Distribution Information

I have a question for those of you with experience using SMS distribution (1-way / individual survey link) within Qualtrics. We are exploring integrating one SMS provider with Qualtrics and I need help confirming some information regarding distribution data.  I’d like to ensure it is possible to export SMS distribution details, such as distribution date, total successful SMS messages, total failed SMS messages, etc., to an external system via SFTP - To be more specific, I need a list of all customers' External Data References and the status of each SMS message (sent or failed).   Could anyone tell me if we can access this type of data within Qualtrics? It’s important to the project create a daily routine to send this information outside Qualtrics at the end of each day.

How can I freeze the top row in a matrix question?

Hi Qualtrics users, I have a survey which contains matrices with a lot of rows. I would like to freeze the top row (with the answer options) so that when participants scroll to the lower rows, the answers remain. Can anyone help me with this? Thanks so much.

Modify a drilldown questin using survey API

Hello,The survey API documents how to modify multiple choice, matrix and other types of questions.There is no indication about how to modify a drilldown question.Has anybody used the survey API (or any other) to programmatically modify a drilldown question?This is my use case:we run a continous survey for a customer. This survey has several drildown questions to chose related values. Let’s say cities with a store in a state. We provide to the drilldown the list of states and stores, once the client selects the state, the next drilldown only contains stores in that state.Stores in a state can change maybe monthly due to new ones joining the brand or old ones leaving the brand. Every month we must update the mapping table.I want to do that programmatically connected with my customer’s usiness systems. In order to do that I download the mapping table from their business systems, but I cannot see how to push it to update the drilldown question definition. Thanks in advance,

Specific Date Email Trigger for Survey

Hi.Users select a date to attend an event using a survey question - so we know the dates on offer.How do I send reminders about the upcoming events, based on date selections? (ie. send a reminder on the 2nd, if the user selected the 3rd).I know how to do email EVENT triggers, but these are dependent on when the survey was completed, not on a date selected in a question. SCHEDULING an email is also not fit-for-purpose as I only want to send a one-off reminder, not daily or weekly, etc. and it doesn't allow conditions (eg. only schedule this email for the 2nd if the user selected the 3rd).Thanks,Linda

Find percentage of responses above certain threshold

Hello!I have a survey with a question set up as seen below:In a report that I’m creating, I want to be able to see the percentage of responses that were either ‘Somewhat likely’ or ‘Very likely’. I have set up scoring for the question, so that ‘Very unlikely’ = 1 and ‘Very likely’ = 5. As such, I effectively want to view the percentage of responses that were equal to or greater than 4.I tried to set this up in the Data & Analysis section using a bucket, but it simply uses the text ‘Somewhat likely’ etc. instead of the scoring values that I set up. Is there a way to view the percentage of survey respondents that selected ‘Somewhat/Very likely’ in the report? I need to this value as simple text. Any help would be much appreciated.

Honeypot questions and other anti-bot measures

Hi allI'm a PhD student using Qualtrics for an expression of interest form for recruiting participants for research. I'm encountering a lot of bots on my form despite having all of Qualtrics' security features enabled and a reCAPTCHA verification question in the survey.I have tried adding Honeypot questions (e.g., a superfluous “What is your age in years?” question) and have been able to successfully hide them using the below JavaScript:Qualtrics.SurveyEngine.addOnload(function(){jQuery("#"+this.questionId).prev('.Separator').hide();jQuery("#"+this.questionId).hide();});However, the bots do not seem to be answering these questions. Intercept logic based on Page Count and Time Focused on Site > creative does not appear

Hello everyone,I am trying to set up an intercept based on page count and time focused on site.I'm probably missing some configuration as the feedback button doesn't appear even though I've spent the set time on the site and navigated to a subsequent page (as per the documentation, the creativity appears on the upload after the set elapsed time has been reached).I have enabled session-storage cookie recording in the Settings tab of the Website App Insight project, but the button still does not appear.When I remove the Page Count and Time Focused on Site restrictions, the button does appear, so it is clearly a problem specific to these logical conditions.What am I missing? Can you help me out?Thank you.

How is Preference Share calculated for MaxDiff report? A Softmax function returns different probabilities than Qualtrics' default "Preference Share".

Qualtrics’ MaxDiff projects produce an output called “Preference Share”. It is defined as:The Preference Share is a measurement of the distribution of preference that respondents have for the tested attributes of the maxdiff. The preference shares sum to 100 and can be understood as the likelihood that the attribute truly is the most preferred item. My assumption is that Qualtrics is probably taking the “Average Feature Utility” it produces and passing it through a softmax function to converts the utilities into probabilities that sum to 1. However, when I applied a softmax function (i.e., exp(Value)/sum(exp(Value)) ) to the Average Feature Utility values, they do not produce identical values to what Qualtrics produces. Hi everyone,I’m currently designing a research study and would greatly appreciate your expertise! I am designing intervention for a social cause and need a real world outcome as a dependent measure, e.g. donation to an organization working for that cause. I’m using Qualtrics for a survey and at the later part of the survey, I am planning to ask participants to donate (with an option to decline). My question is that is there any option to do so through Qualtrics and more importantly count the number of participants who donate and track how much they donate (so that I can compare effectiveness of intervention across control vs intervention conditions). Thanks in advance for your time and support!

Help Needed: Redirecting Survey Participants Between Different Platforms

Hi everyone,I’m currently designing a research study and would greatly appreciate your expertise! I’m using Qualtrics for a survey, but midway through the survey, I need to redirect participants to another website to complete a specific task and collect data that cannot be captured within Qualtrics. After the task, I would like them to be redirected back to the same survey to continue answering additional questions.Could anyone guide me on how to implement this? I’m also interested in knowing if it’s possible to collect identifiers, such as Prolific IDs or response IDs, from the first survey and match them with responses from the second survey to attribute data to the same participants. As a marketing researcher with no background in HTML or coding, your assistance would be invaluable. Filter survey results via mailing list field

Hello! I am trying to filter the results within a report based on embedded data that is in the mailing list that I am distributing the survey to.I have set up a workflow in the survey that takes contacts from a Qualtrics File Service import, and then uses an XM Directory task to email the survey to each contact while also adding them to a mailing list. Each contact has a specific embedded data field that exists in the mailing list that I want to filter by, such that, when I apply the filter, the report only shows results specific to contacts that fulfill the filter.I’m not sure how to pull this data from the contact list into the report and use it as a filter, I tried adding a filter in the report but couldn’t find the relevant data field. I’ve also tried adding the relevant field as embedded data in the Survey Flow section, but couldn’t find the relevant data in that section either. Is there any way to do this? Any help would be much appreciated.
