Hello! We are trying to build a test where participants have to look at two pictures, and decide whether the two pictures depict the same person, or different people. Following, they have to respond using a “confidence scale” where: 0 indicates “Absolutely certain that the two images depict the same person” and 100 indicates “Absolutely certain that the two images depict two different faces indicates”. We want to convert their responses on the confidence scale into SAME for scores from 1-50, and DIFFERENT for scores from 51-100. As an example for a practice trial, we wanted to tell participants the following: On this trial you responded "XX" on the scale. As this was between "1-50/51-100" this was converted into a "Same/Different" face response with "higher (if 1-25 or 76-100) or lower (if 26-75)" levels of confidence. The correct response was "Same/Different" Face. Your response was therefore "Correct/Incorrect". As an example, if on a trial where the correct response is “DIFFERENT”

My data team and I are stuck- what does “File name pattern” mean in #5 of this section? It’s not just me being confused by this. Our data engineering team says this lacks context so I am wondering if anyone can help us figure it out. We intend to trigger all of our recurrent surveys from Snowflake ETL tasks, so this is mission critical for program success.
Hi,I show participants the scoring of thier answers, but I do not want them to see the correct answers (right now they can see it, see the picture). In the example, I want them to see just the 50 and not the 40 (that is the correct answer).Thank you!!
Is it possible to trigger an email to the survey taker if they answer a question “yes” - for example - Would you like to learn more about available resources for future reference?If they answer “yes” then an automated email will be sent to them from Qualtrics?
Hi, I’m new to using java script in Qualtrics and I have a question.I’m running a study where participants are randomly allocated to read one of 16 vignettes. Of course, I could set this up using the survey builder and survey flow, but I would like to use code - this is a pilot study for a larger experiment with over 500 vignettes, which would be too complicated to set up manually.What I think I need to do is to set embedded data fields with variable names for each vignette, and then tell Qualtrics the corresponding vignette text for each name. Next, I can use the survey flow to randomly assign one vignette to each participant. I have created a survey with 25 multiple choice questions. I set up scoring so that each question has one correct response that scores 1 point. I am trying to create a report that will display a table of the 25 questions and the percent of respondents who answered each question correctly, like the table below (but with 25 rows)Survey Question % correct 1 100% 2 75% 3 80% I can only figure out how to create a separate widget for each question. Is it possible to create a table with all of the questions in the report with the % correct responses?

Hello! New EX user here.We are creating an employee suggestion box (the project type is: Survey), to post on our company intranet. Employees will authenticate via SSO in order to leave their confidential feedback.The SSO authenticator works, and it captures the respondent email address. We ideally would like to connect the response to other employee metadata from our Employee Directory (e.g., country, department, etc.), but I cannot seem to find an option for doing so. I don’t see an option in the authentication step of the survey flow for doing this. “Associate respondent with panel” doesn’t appear to be relevant, but please let me know if I’m mistaken. I’m open to any and all ideas for how to make that connection, from different survey types to custom workflows or other suggestions. We have historically received a high volume of feedback through our suggestion box and would love to bring that into Qualtrics. Thank you in advance!

I searched in other posts and the one that has the most interactions is this one but the QSF from the best answer is not there anymore, so I found no clear solution for this issue. Hi everyone,I'm trying to set up my longitudinal survey so that demographic data from one survey is brought into a second survey. This will hopefully save time for the respondent(s). However, in the steps I'm following to set up a longitudinal survey (see link: https://www.qualtrics.com/support/survey-platform/common-use-cases-rc/pulling-data-into-a-second-survey-longitudinal-surveys/) it says that "In order to use Multiple Choice questions instead of Text Entry questions, you will need to use JavaScript. Qualtrics Support cannot advise on custom coding...". A lot of my questions are multiple choice so this is a problem for me.Has anyone coded this before or does anyone know how to solve this issue? I'm new to Qualtrics so I hope I've explained things sufficiently. Any help would be really appreciated!Many thanks

Hi,I will do my best to explain my current situation, but please let me know if I need to clarify anything.I am looking to randomise my question blocks (as each block contains all of the parts of a single trial), but I am in need of a way that participants can see what trial they are on, without using a progress bar. However (and more importantly), the trial numbers should not be randomised, and always go from Trial 1 - 10 (for example) regardless of the order the randomiser places the questions. So for example, if I were to simply manually label each primary segment of the question block = Trial 1 of 10 (and so on), the randomiser will result in this messing up the order: Trial 1 of 10 --> Trial 6 of 10 --> Trial 10 of 10 --> Trial 3 of 10 and so on, until all 10 trials have been shown. I need a way (whether this be embedded data or JS) that I can ensure that despite the question blocks are randomised, it will always start at Trial 1 of 10 and continue until Trial 10 of 10.Essentially
We have the Google Maps Autocomplete enabled in our account. However, it does not appear to be pulling zip codes as part of the request. As we will be using this to validate shipping addresses, the zip code is critical to our use. See the image below. I’ve verified the output in Data & Analysis and it is not there either. I was hoping it would be, even if it’s not displaying on screen. Is there something different I need to do to make sure this information is captured? Hi,I have a side-by-side question with 3 columns. The last column is text-entry. I want to force them to choose from the drop-down list in the second column if they have typed something in the text-entry box. The enforcement would be row-wise because I also have custom JS code that enables “add” rows instead of showing them all rows at once.This can’t be achieved with the custom validation available in Qualtrics because they could add many rows. Is there any way to achieve this with javascript? Thanks so much!
I have a side by side question similar to the below. Respondents aren’t required to answer all questions, but if they give an answer on a row, then there should be an answer somewhere on the previous row i.e. there shouldn’t be any blank rows followed by a row with data in.It’s probably possible with custom validation, but because some of the columns have display logic, it’s set up as 9 columns - so doing the validation means checking for a response in each of the 9 cells in the row.Is there a way to do the validation. i.e.if there are any answers in the second row, then check there are answers in the first row if there are any answers in the third row, then check are answers in the second row etc
I'm a bit confused by the apparent changes in how we can visualize distribution in CX Dashboards.First I read this: Distribution Reporting (CX) (qualtrics.com). But this method seems deprecated:Attention: The XM Directory Respondent Funnel can accomplish the same analysis as distribution reporting with an easier setup. After August 31, 2022 users will not be able to add new data sources or create new dashboard pages from the Directory Respondent page template. Additionally, we are currently not enabling distribution reporting for any new customers at this time. Reach out to your Account Executive or XM Success Manager to learn more.Second, I read this: XM Directory Respondent Funnel (qualtrics.com). Hello everyone, I’m facing this challenge right now. I’m Not seeing my Hello World (local) workflow in the list of tasks. I have tried all the solutions mentioned here on another post as well as followed the guide in the troubleshooting section unsuccessfully. I used the Hello World guide from the documentation to build a workflow task plugin. I will much appreciate your assistance.
I don’t know what it is but it feels like the product is actually broken. No matter what I try to do I get an error message. Error this error that. I’ve never seen so many glitches before. I’m trying to create a new project, get an error, try to delete a duplicate project, get an error, try to upload people into a project, get another error, try to build a hierarchy, another error. Then there are other times I don’t even get an error and just a hanging screen that gets stuck for hours and hours with no progress such as when deleting data or deleting a hierarchy. It’s like the whole product is broken now and we are in the midst of our annual big survey and I’ve been putting many hours just dealing with how buggy and glitchy Qualtrics has become. It always had issues here and there but it was never this bad before. Was the entire production team let go or something?
Hello everyone, I have posted this a week ago and it worked, unfortunately it does not work when using simple layout. I have a text entry question (old), I will add 3 new text entry questions based on the NPS question (Promoters, Passives, Detractors). Each time only 1 out of the 3 new questions will be shown to the respondents. The old one should be hidden. I want to hide the old question and replicate the input text from any of the 3 new questions to the hidden one. I want to keep the old question there because of export and TextIQ reasons @TomG suggested the ideal solution for this scenario but I would like to make this code to fit when using simple layout. When creating a Custom Metric in a CX Dashboard is there any way to do a distinct count? I have a number that is entered by survey participants and is unique to them. Occasionally we have repeat participants and I want to be able to create a data viz for certain fields that shows a distinct count of responses. It seems like this should be an easy thing to do, but I can’t see any way of doing this? Any suggestions?
