Sending a mail to finished and not finished respondents after closing survey

Hello Johannes, I have a workaround that does not involve API & workflow at all.Go to survey flow and add an end of survey element at the very top with a customised message which can be same as the default one. Make sure to check this option as well. Now, you can use the OOTB available settings for thank you as well as reminder emails. For reminder emails, you will have to hide the survey link in source. hope this helps.

How to center align an image in a library message?

Hello Sydney, you can align the image either left or right using the rich text editor and then using the source (2nd icon from the last in rich text editor) you can change the value for <align> tag to centre.

Survey Halted error message

Hello Chris, I don’t have the exact solution but this workaround might help. If the survey is anonymous, you can use an anonymous link multiple times via Safari browser to submit the responses.

Translation export looks funky

Hello Bridget, when you export the translations from Qualtrics, it is in the csv format, and when the file is opened these funky characters are added to it. I would suggest using an online platform (google sheets, etc.) to view/edit these files.

Databases with different time

Hello Erika, This could be happening due to the timezone that you may have set in your account settings.  I think both times when you downloaded the database, the account used must have had a different timezone.

Hello Ines, You won’t require JS to achieve that. You can create 10 text entry questions with appropriate in-page display logic applied to every question except 1st question. below are some examples - for 2nd question : if question 1 is not empty for 3rd question : if question 2 is not empty and so on.

How to filter multiple IDs

Hello Jemima, you can CONCATENATE those 200 response IDs (each separated by a comma) in Excel and then use that string using the “includes” operator to filter out those responses in data & analysis. This will allow you to delete just those 200 responses and decrement the quota as well.

you cannot edit the anonymous link provided by Qualtrics but can generate a new QR code for your new survey link

Hello Adriana, you can embed the value for Q_Language=ES-ES at the end of survey URL and then generate the QR code for the survey.

Selecting a random subset of responses from a different question

Hi Tushar,  Thank you! Do you know how I would go about implementing randomizer and embedded data with this paradigm?  You will have to capture data from all 60 response boxes into embedded data(s). Make sure each embedded data element is populating only a single embedded data variable. Put all those elements below the randomizer with appropriate settings.You can pipe the value from those Embedded data(s) into question texts.

Carry forward an answer to populate a skipped question

I have a question that asks “From what other organizations do you purchase these types of products?”.  There are 9 options available to select, and there can be multiple selections.  IF more than one are selected, the next question is “Of the other organizations you purchase from, which is your most preferred?” and they see the selections from the prior question and can only select one. That selection is then piped into a follow up question.  If “From what other organizations do you purchase these types of products?” results in only ONE selection, the next question (Of the other organizations you purchase from, which is your most preferred?) is skipped. BUT, I want to the single select from the prior question to be carried forward as the single select in the skipped question.  This can then be piped into the follow up question. Hello Daniel, You can use the same embedded data variable (one which is being used to populate options of the skipped question) to populate the follow up quest

Selecting a random subset of responses from a different question

Hi, I am looking to take a random subset of responses given by a participant and pipe it into follow up questions. I am asking participant to come up with as many memories as possible in a 2 min span using a form field question with 60 response boxes. Then I would like to randomly select 8 of their responses to ask a set of questions about each. I am unsure how to pipe the responses to the questions randomly. Additionally, there is no guarantee that someone will respond with 60 memories, so I need a way to make sure the 8 responses are attached to a box they filled out. Do I need to use JavaScript or the randomizer? Thank you!   Hello, JennyWhile this can be done via JS as well, the ideal method would be the combination of Randomizer and Embedded data(s)

How to Include a drop-down list within a form field question type

Hello! I have a form field question and I need one of those fields to be a drop-down list with 5-7 options.  I searched in other posts and the one that has the most interactions is this one but the QSF from the best answer is not there anymore, so I found no clear solution for this issue.  Thanks in advance for the help! Hello Ricardo, If it is possible to use Multiple Text entry questions instead of 1 Form Field question, you will be able to use the autocomplete feature available.

Ticket closure

I want to close all my existing tickets(in open state, in progress state, etc.) which were created in a specific time period. For example, 1st Jan - 31st Jan. Is there a one step solution available to close all the tickets instead of doing manually?   Hello Aksh, you can do that via Ticketing workflows, where you can specify the custom date range & take actions on tickets.
