I am new to Qualtrics and have a relatively complex longitudinal survey. I believe I have identified the necessary steps for this to run smoothly, but I am looking for confirmation the steps I have outlined below are the best route to take and have a few specific questions. Some details as to the study design:
- Three measures
- The first measure of the survey will be distributed via an anonymous link through newsletters, on social media, on websites etc.
- Participants will provide their email address in the first measure to which the second and third measure can be automatically distributed.
- Participants will provide a date in the first measure which will inform when they should receive the second and third measure (second measure at the end of the day on the date they have provided and third measure three months after that date). So the follow up date is personal to each participant.
- Participants will provide the name of a location in the first measure that I would like to display to them in the second measure.
I plan to:
- Use this tutorial to link the surveys together.
- This will allow me to display the location information in the second measure?
- Does this mean participants don’t have to enter their LoginID to access the second and third measure (i.e. they are automatically recognised) or would they need to remember/record it? This is not feasible, so if this is the case I would amend to this tutorial to use email address in place of the LoginID, so when they click on the link to measure 2 and measure 3 they just have to enter their email address
- Use the reply in this community post to automatically send the email on the necessary dates – creating a workflow that uses an API task to do it.
- I am struggling to make the leap from the data pulling tutorial to the API task. Is it just step 3 in the tutorial I need to amend and follow the steps in Creating a Distribution instead?
Many thanks.
