FAQ for Quotas

What is a Quota?

A Quota is a tool that helps you collect the exact amount of data required for your study by keeping track of responses and checking if they meet conditions you've set in your survey.

What is a common use case for quotas?

A common use case is ensuring you have a specific number of respondents for each desired demographic group, such as collecting a certain number of responses from different age groups.

How do I create a quota?

  1. Go to the Survey Tab
  2. Click on Quotas on the left-hand side of the screen
  3. Select "Add Quota"
  4. Choose your quota type (e.g., "Simple Logic Quota")
  5. Click "Create a quota"

What is a Simple Logic Quota?

A Simple Logic Quota increments each time your conditions are met, rather than using percentages to define how participants are distributed in your quota.

How do I set logic conditions for a quota?

Logic conditions work similarly to display logic. You can:

  • Create multiple logic sets
  • Use embedded data and questions in condition statements
  • Select specific questions and answer choices to define your quota criteria

For example, to collect 10 people aged 18-24, you would select the age question and the "18-24" answer choice.

How do I set the quota limit?

Go to the top right corner and enter your desired number. You can also rename your quota by clicking on the "New Quota" text in the top-left corner.

What happens when a quota limit is reached?

You have several options for what happens to respondents after the quota is reached:

  • End the survey immediately when they answer the qualifying question
  • Stop displaying specific blocks or questions
  • Stop collecting new responses entirely
  • Display a customized message explaining why their session ended
  • Choose "None" to avoid interfering with pre-set logic in the survey flow
