FAQ for Pre-Built Benchmarks

What is the Benchmarks feature?

The Benchmarks feature lets you overlay pre-built industry comparison data onto your dashboard widgets. This allows you to see how your own metrics — such as NPS — stack up against industry standards without any manual data entry.

Which metrics can I use with benchmarks?

Benchmarks work with any metric that is not a Count metric. NPS (Net Promoter Score) is the most common example. When adding a widget, simply select a non-Count metric to unlock benchmark options.

Which widget types support benchmarks?

Benchmarks are only compatible with the following widget types:

  • Number chart
  • Gauge chart
  • Line chart
  • Vertical bar
  • Horizontal bar

Note: Table widgets are NOT supported.

Adding a Benchmark to Your Dashboard

Where do I start?

Navigate to your dashboard, then select Add Widget. Choose a metric widget that uses a non-Count metric — for example, NPS.

How do I configure the benchmark settings?

Once you have selected a compatible widget, follow these steps:

  1. Select the Metric — for example, B2B.
  2. Choose a color for your benchmark display.
  3. Select the Industry — for example, Food & Beverage Manufacturing.

Your own NPS data and the industry benchmark will now appear side by side in the widget.

What does the benchmark visualization look like?

Your own NPS metrics (e.g., 2023 and 2024) display in blue. The industry benchmark comparison appears as a purple bar alongside your data, making it easy to compare performance at a glance.
