New AI tools to save you weeks on text analysis

Hello everyone!

I'm excited to share some big news about a new feature we've been working on: AI Assisted Topics in Discover Text Analytics. We know how much time and effort goes into building and maintaining topic models, and we believe generative AI can make a huge difference in helping you get to insights faster.

Here's a quick overview of what's included and the value it can provide to you:

  • Topic Hierarchy Generator: Instead of building a model from scratch, you can now let AI do the heavy lifting for you. Just select your project and give it some basic info about your use case, and it will generate a tailored topic model for you. This means less manual work and a faster start.
  • Smart Query: This tool lets you generate or update your topic model rules with a simple click, helping you keep your models precise without a ton of manual effort. This ensures your models stay relevant and accurate with minimal upkeep.
  • Smart Audit: Quickly see where your model can be improved. Smart Audit provides precision scores for each topic and shows you which sentences are hurting your accuracy. This allows you to refine your models quickly and efficiently.
  • Topic Recommendation: This feature automatically finds new topics in your uncategorized data, helping you discover "unknown unknowns" and making model maintenance a lot easier. This helps you uncover hidden insights you might have missed otherwise.

We've heard from early users who've seen a reduction in topic modeling effort by several weeks, and we're really excited about the potential this has for everyone.

Don’t have access to AI Assisted Topics in Discover Text Analytics? Reach out to your account team in the customer hub. 

 

It would be really great to see this come to Engage with AI-generated TextiQ topics! Planning to use this feature to generate topics in Discover but because our use case requires using Qualtrics Assist in an Engage CX dashboard, we have to re-build the topic model in TextiQ. This will require a heavy lift to try and convert the topic tagging rules from Discover to TextiQ syntax.

Is this already live for all US Customers? We dont see the topic recommendation and smart audit available for us in our designer instance

We are planning to bring AI Assisted Topics to Engage! The current roadmap timing has this coming in 2026. 

Also, this should be available with your Discover account if you have access to AI included in your license. Please reach out to your account team to take the next steps for enablement.
