Best Image type

Just wondering to check which image you prefer and is best to use in question while uploading to graphics library (lin aspects like resolution, type(jpeg, png)..... so on)?
+23i use JPG, because it is default file type :) Quality is not good though if screen resolution changes. So i am here to listen to what others prefer.
+27The best type depends on the contents of the image. For photographs jpeg is best. For graphics (text, charts, etc.) png is best. For resolution, you want the image to match the maximum resolution that the image will be displayed as. Anything less will degrade quality and anything more is wasting bandwidth.
