Changing alignment of text entered into open-ended text box within a side-by-side

I have a very simple side-by-side with an open-text field for adding additional comments for each item; however, when I go to enter text into the open-text field, all respondent input is centered, which can be disorienting for someone who has a LOT to say. Qualtrics support says there isn’t a built-in way to do this (like the Rich Text editor) and I cannot for the life of me figure out what kind of JavaScript would be needed to change this alignment behavior within the open-text fields themselves.

There is a similar-sounding question that has already been answered here, but the problem in my survey’s side-by-side isn’t the same. I would be grateful if anyone has some insight they could offer! Thanks in advance...

Try adding the below CSS to the Style section of your survey’s Look & Feel:

.Skin .SBS .InputText {
text-align: left !important;
}

“Lifesaver” isn’t a strong enough adjective...I was getting a peptic ulcer trying to fix this! Your code did the trick--thank you so much!
