Is there a way to custom-design the appearance of a text entry question? I am making a survey where participants are supposed to see an environment similar to an online forum, like something that was shared and some comments below, and they themselves can leave a comment below. I thus need something like a text entry where I can replace the rectangular text box with a somewhat nicer shaped box, that in its header has custom text (that is the participant's name), and perhaps a photo - so very much what a comment field would look like in a forum.

You can use a text entry question and use html in the question text to design your own 'online forum' page including the text entry field. Use JS to hide the Qualtrics text entry (QuestionBody class) in the addOnload function and use the addOnPageSubmit function to copy the value of your text entry field to the Qualtrics text entry field.
