Embedded data timing flag not changing

Hi,
I have an embedded data timing flag that is meant to change from '1' to '0' after 300 seconds (participants view randomised images during this time). It functions well (i.e., changes to '0' after 300 seconds) on most occasions, yet there have been a few times where the flag doesn't change and participants are taken to the end of the survey (skipping the next questions with the '0' display logic). Has anyone also experienced this issue/or have some ideas as to why the flags might not change?
