Hover over image to see textbox

Issue: I would like to have images in my survey which participants can hover over to make a textbox appear. I see solutions on how to do hover-over for text but am having trouble extrapolating this to images. Please keep in mind I would also like to know how long participants hovered over the images, so this might restrict the question type I'm able to use.
Background: I'm conducting a study where I ask participants to choose between two hypothetical teammates to work on a project with. Participants will have several pieces of information they can choose to read about each teammate (e.g. performance reviews; training; experience). I would like to have icons that participants can hover over to have this information pop-up (e.g. hovering over the "Training" icon will make a text-box appear with information about the teammate's training. I expect participants to differ on the type and amount of information they choose to read about each teammate (e.g. some people might choose to read all available information about each teammate whereas others might choose to read 1 or 2 peices of information about each teammate). I would like to know which pieces of information participants chose to read, and for how long they read the information. I think using separate pages with timers would be cumbersome.
