My masters project group and I are trying to make a choice experiment survey and we've done the experiment design in RStudio. Would it be possible to import the design from RStudio into Qualtrics or do we have to translate it into some other file type.

Qualtrics does not support importing of R files (which are just text, really). You can only import their own proprietory format (.QSF), otherwise so you will need to design it in Qualtrics.

it's always a pleasure to see someone implementing a DCE in Qualtrics.
Few years ago, I found the paper below where the authors described how to implement a DCE in Qualtrics (I have not had the chance to experiment it yet).
When I had to do that, I adopted another survey platform because I was able to create the entire HTML code with radio button included.
