hello
Im new to Qualtrics, and i'll try and explain the issue im trying to solve.
In my survey im creating, i have a question where im going to ask respondents to name (if they can) 3 people they speak to about politics.
So it will be in a way a normal multiple choice question but you need to fill in a text box for all 3 questions with a name. However, in order to make it anonymous, i need in a dataset the names to appear as a dummy (ie. name1, name2, name3), as im not interested in who they spoke to per say but if they do in fact people to people about this subject.
Is this a thing that can be done? Hope i explained it okay.

You can do this with JavaScript. In the addOnPageSubmit function change the value of any non-empty input text to a dummy value.
If you have the back button turned on, you'll want to prevent its use of the next survey page. Otherwise, they will see dummy values if they go back.
