How do I change the format of the NPS question to have a slider instead of dots. Any help is appreciated

PeeyushBansal is correct; the NPS question is not variable in its format (other than by changing the format of the survey layout overall, and that still won’t make it a “slider” format, regardless). So a slider with 0-10 values is the only way to accomplish what you request. Note though that you’ll have to set up the Detractor, Passive and Promoter groups and the NPS calculation yourself in that case, because the system only does that for the NPS question type.

You can create an intermediate Slider type question with same ratings as NPS .
And then make a hidden NPS question next to slider type question and have the value punched in it based on previous response to Slider question.
Pros:In this way you can have functionality of Slider for respondent and convenience of NPS calculation and all other benefits in your data.
Con: There will be extra question(Slider ) which you will have to ignore during analysis.
