SMARTRIQS multi stage chat study with waiting room

I am trying to set up a multistage chat interaction study that was a waiting room, so people reading at different speeds join the chat room at the same time.
I downloaded the templates with waiting rooms, but when i adapted it it does not quite work. One of the roles gets the usual chat room and can chat, while the other two roles have a box that says "type message" that A) does not work and B) does not display what the other person that has the normal chat window writes. (photo attached).
I also got an error message once maybe that helps
Anyone have any ideas?
