I have a metric that I want to show trended over the years. At a certain point it goes from being recorded yearly to quarterly. Is there a way to make the line chart trend by Year and then change to Quarter starting in 2019? Ideally the timeline would look like this. 2016 - 2017 - 2018 - 2019.1 - 2019.2 etc. I cannot make the entire chart quarterly and hide blank quarters, because previously the survey would be sent out the middle of a quarter change (example: responses recorded 6/30/17 and 7/1/17 should be reported together as 2017 but if I switch to quarters they would be separate)

Update - I landed on manually creating a new date field for the survey launch date so all the data for that year would be in the same quarter. Then was able to use a quarterly trend and hide the blank quarters. Tedious but it worked
