I hope you've figured this out by now since it's been a couple of weeks, but thought I'd reply...
It's hard to tell where the disconnect is without looking at your set up. It sounds like you already generated the test data, but it's not showing on your dash. Do you have widgets built to capture results of the questions that have data?
If you're looking for embedded data fields, those don't generate with the test data. You'll have to set it up to populate them at the time of generating the test data, enter them manually after generating test data, or by create a test source file and send it to yourself and a few team members to complete the survey and capture data that way.
