Error while upgrading a free account to paid account

I had created a free account and now when i try to upgrade to a paid account through the upgrade option, it gives me below error:
There was an error upgrading your account. Please try again later.
I am not sure what this issue is and i have tried multiple times since yesterday.
I am really stuck with this and am not able to progress at all.
If any one has encountered this issue before kindly help me.
Note: I have also connected to the support team but they asked me to delete the cache and try, have tried even that but no luck.

      I think you have to reach to support team as they have control over this.
