In Xm directory I have an embedded field for Year of birth that is collected through a profiling survey (YoB). I would like to know how to set it in a dashboard so that YoB dynamically updates year on year for Age Group categories ie., Less than 18 18-24, 25-34 etc. Can this be done as a custom metric?

Hi @GAIRTeam

You can create branch logic in the survey flow.

Another option can be you can use recode editor in the dashboard settings.

You can create custom Bucketing variable and use it in your dashboard. Please refer the below link.

Thank you, however I have a dashboard that is directly connected to the XM directory contacts not the profiling survey. There are contacts that existed before the survey began. YoB is stored in the directory and I would like to group YoB in the dashboard and to set it in a way that next year the age groups automatically calculate. By recoding labels I would need to recode 100+ years and then do this a year later

@GAIRTeam then you can use recode editor option in dashboard. Same as suggested by @krbhavya . Please refer below link.

Thank you for your help, but not ideal if we want this to dynamically update each year
