Employee directory - reset/delete all participants possible? | XM Community

Hi folks,

we have to “reset” an instance meaning to delete all participants data there.

In the projects this is no problem, BUT

how can we delete all participants from the global employee directory?

Any add info needed?

@Space - the final frontier I would suggest to handle it this way:

  1. Export all directory contacts as CSV including their external reference.
  2. Delete all contacts based on the CSV and external reference.

Hi @Space - the final frontier ,

To delete people from the Global Directory, please follow these steps:

  • Go to Global Directory.
  • Click on Tools.
  • Select "Delete People from Directory".
  • A pop-up will appear, asking you to import a .csv file with a list of Unique Identifiers.

Please note that there is a limitation on the file size. It is recommended to include up to 25,000 rows at once and upload the file. This will permanently delete the data from the directory.

kind of rookie question here -- if we wipe out the Directory, is it going to impact the existing automations with lifecycle surveys? 

 

say Newhire survey has person X on the participant list, and now we delete person X from Directory..  they get imported via nightly feed from HRIS, whats the impact on the Newhire Survey?
