HI team,

We conducted a Pulse check in December (ebgagement survey,) and the metadata / embeded data for our participants flows directly from Success Factors to Qualtrics.

We had many participants without a manager ID , so we couldnt create the proper Org Hierarchy.

Now we made the updates in Success Fcators, they were succesfully sent to Qualtrics, then we pushed the Update Responses with curent metadata but this is not picked up in the participant list.

Why is that?

Thank you

Hey Livia,

When you say “they were successfully sent to Qualtrics”, do you mean that the Manager ID values were sent to the Directory? If so, you’ll still need to get them into the Participants List - metadata is local (that is, updates in a project are specific to their metadata in that project and not pushed elsewhere - same thing with the Directory in that metadata there doesn’t get pushed anywhere else).

If it is in your Qualtrics Directory now…

  1. Run an export of your Directory.
  2. Run an export of your project’s Participants List.
  3. On the Participants List export, add a column for Manager ID and populate it by running a lookup (keyed off of Unique Identifier) to pull in the Manager ID values from the Directory export.
  4. Prep that Participants List file so it is ready for import. Keep only the Last Name, First Name, Email, Unique Identifier, Respondent, User Name, and Manager ID columns - delete ALL other columns. Make note of whether Excel stripped leading zeros off your Unique Identifiers or User Names if you have leading zeros normally present.
  5. Import the Participants List file.
  6. Generate the hierarchy.
  7. Run response update.
