Hello! Our Response Rate widget in our dashboard is not displaying as I expected (see screen grab with 24 “responded”). I’d like to see a department breakout like our past survey (see 93 “responded”), but when I try to filter by department, it gives me an error message.

Does anyone know what might be happening? Thanks!

My guess would be to check the Dashboard Data and make sure the metadata is mapped correctly, if at all.

What’s the error message that is being displayed?

Hi @haileygarcia, see screen grab. When I select Field at left, then select Department, the error message “An error occurred while loading the data. Please try again.” displays.

It also occurs when I select other Field options. I compared this to past survey dashboards, and I believe we set those up identically, so I am unsure why this is happening.

I’m going to check our metadata one more time to see if that helps.

Appreciate any assistance you can provide!

UPDATE: It appears the metadata filter is working properly for Department as it filters correctly on other widgets.

I did a test on one of my survey dashboards, and it displays a different error message when it is mapped incorrectly, so, for sure not that error. The fact that the filters function correctly on other widgets is what’s throwing me for a loop!

Did you clear your cache and try it again? I always try that when I have no clue what else to check…

Good luck!

Hello,

Check the filters you applied on widget level.

If error occurs when filter is applied, there must be a conflict between widget level filters and page level filters.

What helped me with the Response rate widget, was to push the Update invited counts. After this was updates, the widget functioned OK.

When we later add new people to the survey just to view the dashboards and they are not actual participants in the survey , it can also affect the way the response widget shows data. So then again this update of invited counts needs to be pushed. Similar if you update the metadata of the participant list. Once you load it back to the survey, this widget can be affected.
