Field Editor - New Field Date Automation | XM Community

Pulling in Termination Date as a Metadata field for Exit Survey. Haven’t worked with Field Editor too much, but not seeing an option to add a field in Qualtrics to pull out the Year of the Termination Date into it’s own column to use as a filter in my dashboard (“Everyone that has a Termination Date in 2024”).

Does the Field Editor have this type of automation capability?

You have to add it to the dashboard mapping going to dashboard setting after that bring it as a filter to dashboard

You can use any data as a filter in dashboard. Make sure all the embedded data has been mapped in the dashboard. And if you want to display as date, ensure you set up the embedded data as data field while you map the data in dashboard mapper

Thanks for the reply. Issue is metadata of Term date being brought in from my HRIS is just a text field in Qualtrics. So adding as a filter just brings in the date as hard text. I tried to format to date in field editor in Data & Analysis but didn’t make a difference in Dashboard filters. I just need to know how to code the field editor to chop the month and day off term dates so I can create a Term Year field for YoY comparisons based on term date, not just response date.

Ah. I see the Field Type change for Date. I was thinking about it too hard with the Field Editor. Thanks!
