Journey Analytics - Dashboard Viewer Access

We are using the Employee Journey Analytics (EJA) project to map multiple lifecycle programs to a data model and dashboard. We are now trying roll out the dashboard to managers to use the dashboard in the platform to monitor results.

While project administrators can access the EJA project and its dashboards via the main “projects” page in the platform, there seems to be no easy way for dashboard viewers (without EJA data model access) to access the embedded dashboards via the platform UI. Instead, the only way to access the dashboard is via a direct link to the dashboard that is shared outside the platform to the user. These users have permissions to view the dashboard based on the user roles setup within the EJA project.

The dashboard does not appear in the Manager Assist app > View Results tab which is what I would expect.

The dashboard does not appear in the Projects page.

Has anyone else had this issue or know how to make the dashboard display as an available project to dashboard users?

My understanding (and I’d be very happy to be proven wrong by someone with more experience!) is they can only access it via the direct link (as long as they’re granted access via Roles). We have the same situation with our employee surveys. Dashboards are not available via the generic homepage. I’ve submitted an improvement request to have additional functionality added to the generic homepage for EX projects and dashboard users, as an EX project manager the majority of my homepage is blank, it appears most additional functionality for the homepage (such as widgets) is reserved for CX users only.

Hi Emma,

Thanks for the response! I agree that it appears the EJA dashboards can only be accessed via direct link for dashboard users. One thing to note is that other EX dashboards such as Engagement dashboards should not require a direct link. Users should be able to access them via the Manager Assist application as shown in the support doc below.

Using Manager Assist

The documentation says “On this page you can search for and view all the employee experience dashboards you have access to.” Unfortunately that just seems to be false since the EJA dashboard is an EX dashboard and does not appear in this page. I also upvoted your idea on Evolve!
