Topic: Table of Contents

Back buttons are one of the most useful features for respondents when taking a survey, but their usefulness relies on the length of the survey. Once a survey gets too long the back button becomes less effective and the table of contents element starts to be the better option.

The table of contents is an element added to the survey flow that allows respondents to see a list of all the blocks included and the ability to navigate to any block. You can customize this feature by adding a header, adding a custom introduction message, showing block progress, and more! While there are some limitations, the table of contents gives respondents more autonomy over their survey experience and allows for efficient movement between different question blocks.

Start creating a better respondent experience by incorporating a table of contents into your surveys today!

Where to find this feature:

  1. Navigate to your Survey flow in the Survey tab.
  2. Click Add a New Element Here or Add Below.
  3. Select Table of Contents.
  4. Move the Table of Contents element to its appropriate location by clicking on Move and dragging the element.
