🌟 Higher Ed Customer Spotlight: Jenn Bellamy 🌟 

Check out our first ever customer spotlight for Jenn Bellamy from the University of Denver!
Q: Tell us about your current role:
A: I am the Associate Dean for Research and Faculty Development and a professor at the University of Denver Graduate School of Social Work. I teach research courses and conduct research on child and family interventions to reduce the risk of child maltreatment.
Q: Tell us about one project that you have run on Qualtrics that has been particularly impactful: 
A: I have been working with the Office of Early Childhood in Colorado to implement a statewide child maltreatment prevention plan in local counties across the state. We created a toolbox for local communities and technical support to assist communities in integrating parent voice into their planning process using Qualtrics surveys. I work with each community to shape the general survey to their needs and help them distribute, analyze, and interpret their community results. Each community uses that data to work with local nonprofits, government agencies, and parents to strengthen collaborations and services for parents.
Q: What would you like to learn from others in the Community?
A: I think I would love to learn some more "next level" skills with Qualtrics, such as more sophisticated approaches to building skip patterns, how to organize surveys that are used multiple times (I've got quite a collection now!), and also how to help students who use screen readers to build surveys in Qualtrics. We have several students at DU who need to take research classes, wanted to be RAs, or conduct their own research and they struggle to use the software with assistive technology.
Q: If time and money were endless, what would be your dream experience?
A: I would spend an immersive year studying Spanish and traveling with my family in Central and South America.
Q: Do you have any additional or fun information you'd like to share as it relates to your experience with Qualtrics?
A: The dean of my school once asked me what my "happy place" was in my work, and I said it was "analyzing data while eating pizza". I don't think that was the answer she was expecting! I get a lot of joy from looking at the results of studies I have conducted after all the effort and time in developing and implementing a study. For me, it's like unwrapping a gift.
