For anyone else looking to do something similar, you can automate participant updates by using automations in the employee directory or use the 360 API documentation. Looks like the support team also recommended to opt for using automations when updating the employee directory. In particular we need to set Inactive employees in Qualtrics based on SuccessFactors employee status.
