Hubspot integration - can hubspot talk to qualtrics and trigger actions?

Is anyone using hubspot and qualtrics able to share their experiences with the integration?

I’m particularly interested to know if anyone has had any success / info regarding the integration working 2-ways?

i.e. Does the Hubspot integration allow for a two-way sync, specifically if triggers in HubSpot can call on Qualtrics to send surveys?

I guess the practical use-case here would be like if someone new is added to our CRM (hubspot) that it triggers a ‘welcome survey’ to be sent from qualtrics and then if they complete the survey it is marked as ‘welcome survey completed’ in the CRM (hubspot)?

Hey there! That is a really solid workflow idea, but setting up a strict bi-directional sync between HubSpot and Qualtrics can be a bit of a gray area depending on how you configure it.

Based on how the integration usually works, the Qualtrics-to-HubSpot side of things is fully supported. You can absolutely have a survey completion trigger an action that automatically creates or updates contacts and deals in HubSpot the second a response is submitted. So, marking a "welcome survey completed" field in your CRM after they finish is totally doable.

The trickier part is the reverse direction—having HubSpot trigger the Qualtrics survey automatically when a new contact is added. Standard documentation focuses mostly on data flowing out of Qualtrics into HubSpot, rather than HubSpot actively kicking off a survey event.

If you're trying to build this out, it would help to know if you are playing around with Qualtrics Workflows and JSON inbound events, or if you're looking at HubSpot-side automation to send the invite.

Since native bi-directional behavior can get complicated fast and might require some advanced workflow webhooks, it's probably a good idea to connect with the team over at the Customer Success Hub at https://support-portal.qualtrics.com/. They can dive into your specific account setup, check your API access, and help you map out a reliable way to connect the two systems without things breaking. Let us know if you manage to get the HubSpot trigger side running smoothly!
