I want to integration for salesforce to create a contact on Salesforce or update if they do not exist using email as Key. Ideally, if the person has done a survey before, their email is created in Qualtrics and embedded data field “EmbeddedEmail” column through a qualtrics trigger to add the participant to contact list.  

This data field is included in survey flow by ‘adding from contacts’ and is shown in the embedded fields as “EmbeddedEmail”

For the Upsert integration, the Key selected is Email, and is linked to embedded data field “EmbeddedEmail” my assumption is that it would check against the emails previously entered that were stored on qualtrics and if it does not find them, it creates a contact and if it does not, it updates the contact with that email on SF

When I do a survey, I get an error ‘empty search value’ in the workflow review. How could I get this to work?

 

Have you checked in D&A tab whether the field that its looking into has data available or not?
