In survey today, we can set the reminder interval (e.g. survey to be sent every 2 or 3 days) but can we also set the iterations(i.e. how many times can i send this survery for given intervals) automatically?

You can set the number of reminders which will allow you to do this automatically
Any number of reminders can be added going to email distribution .
