I am trying to use the transactionbatches API call, For that call you need a directoryId. Can this be obtained using an API call.

The directory ID, also known as a pool ID, is only accessible by a Brand Admin. If there is an administrator for your system, you would need to ask them. Here is info on how to get your Pool ID!

As @Michael_Campbell_RedPepper said it is the same as Pool ID. If you have access to it, you would find it under Contacts (i.e. Target Audience)/Top Right Drop-down/Account Settings/Qualtrics IDs.
Just wanted to confirm and chime in here! You are correct, Directory ID is the same as Pool ID. We have since clarified this in the documentation here to make it more clear.
