Back button on Blocks

Hi, so is there no way I can add a back button on the blocks? In my survey for certain participants they are taken to a specific block which isn't available to the rest of the participants. However, doing so means they cannot go back to the survey as the back button is disabled when a block is created. Is there any other way I can add the back button?

The only way I know to do it is the back button in Options -> Responses. Beyond that I am sure CSS or JS might work if you want to hide it on certain pages.

Yes, I wish the Back button didn't disappear when there is branching between blocks. Submit the idea (which may have already been submitted in the past), and I'll upvote for sure.

Found the idea that was already submitted. It's in review. Feel free to upvote as well.

https://community.qualtrics.com/XMcommunity/discussion/18331/back-button-on-blocksAs soon as you put any elements (e.g., branch) between blocks in the survey flow you lose the ability to use the back button. If you want to keep the back button, you need to use question display logic instead of survey flow branch logic.

I tried to ensure that there are back buttons between every page by using the display logic instead of using the survey flow. To be more specific, creat only one block, and add the only one block into the survey flow. Then, put all the questions into the one block, and edit the display logic of each question. This method is more troublesome than using the survey flow but can make sure that the back buttons show up every time.

It makes no sense that the back button disappears when you use block or other logic elements. What is the best way to make a feature request?

@andychiu feature requests are made through Evolve: Product Ideas | XM Community (qualtrics.com)

The idea submitted that is closest to this is EV-726 with status of Revisit in Future.  You can add your vote to this existing request in the hopes it gets revisited sooner than later.

Yes it is a real shame that the back button isn’t available when branches are used. This would be a really useful tool.

If it’s critical that someone is able to access an earlier portion of the survey, using a table of contents is an option.
