I have around 200 records need update.
I have tried export and re-import.
My import file contains only ResponseId and 1 Question column (Q1).
But it create new records instead.
What have i done wrong,
Is that how it should work ?
Any alternative to it.

Qualtrics does not support updating existing responses via standard import — even with Response ID, it creates new responses. The API also cannot modify question answers (like Q1, Q2) after submission; it only updates embedded data.
The only effective workaround is to export, delete, and re-import the corrected responses.

Qualtrics allows manual editing of question responses in the Data & Analysis tab, but only one at a time.
For bulk updates, Qualtrics does not support updating question answers — only Embedded Data fields can be updated via API.
+28Just to clarify - It is possible to update multiple records at once by going to Data & Analysis, adding a filter, selecting all records that meet the criteria, and then applying the update to all of those records at once (if updating to the same value).
