Confirmatory factor analysis | XM Community

Hi everyone!

In my current project I would like to conduct a confirmatory factor analysis.

Does anyone know if this function is included in Qualtrics?

:) h.

Using the key drivers widget in a dashboard might be helpful for performing factor analysis: https://www.qualtrics.com/support/vocalize/widgets/other-widgets/key-driver-widget/

Or checking out the stats IQ feature to perform ANOVA and other types of statistical analysis: https://www.qualtrics.com/support/stats-iq/getting-started-with-stats-iq/overview-stats-iq/

Hi @ash123 !

Does the key drivers widget work with PCA? Is this the Pearson-option?

Hi there.  I was wondering if you worked out how to run a factor analysis?  It’s something I’m also trying to do.

Thanks

Hey Louisa,

I have also not found a pre-built way to run factor analysis in Qualtrics, but they provide some guidance here. Typically, CFA is done using statistics software like SPSS, so you can also download your data and give that a shot. Alternatively, there are some Python packages that are helpful as they come with pre-defined functions and models. If you need help with Python, there is a GPT to walk you through the process here

Finally, I’m working on a tool that helps you analyze tabular text data from survey tools like Qualtrics. We’re still learning a lot about new use cases, so i’m happy to jump on a call and set this up for you!

There are no built in PCA/CFA tools in Qualtrics. However, StatsIQ has added an option to run R code on your data. Therefore, you could use the lavaan package in R and perform any kind of SEM.
