Copy/duplicate an embedded data field in the dataset?

I have an embedded data field in an existing survey (many thousands of responses already, survey remains open) that I want to copy/duplicate in the dataset. Is there an easy way to do this?

We can use API to do this quickly. We can use excel formula to create API body in the required format and simply use it in API call.

@Evaluation You can go to Data&Analysis → Field Editor, make a new manual field an link it with your original embedded data. That field will duplicate all the historical data and also if new record come in the future it will be duplicated too. Custom Field Creation (qualtrics.com)
