Creating a dashboard which combines 3 x lifecycle surveys

I have 3 lifecycle touchpoint surveys and my client would like one single dashboard for all three surveys.  I have previously been able to do this in an normal EX project but it no longer seems to be an option.  I tried mapping the question fields from the 2nd & 3r surveys into the dashboard of the 1st survey, and although the question items are mapped in to the dashboard, they don’t appear in widget selections so I can build any widgets from them.  Any suggestions of how best to do this.

I’m also interested in finding out more on this. We are trying to do the same with our 3 key EX surveys:

  • Onboarding post-3 months survey
  • Annual Engagement survey
  • Exit survey

Hi @karen_split-pin - I have had this same issue before. The issue occurs because the primary data source does not have a field mapped to the questions in the non-primary data sources. While it is not immediately clear in the dashboard configuration, it is required to have the primary source mapped to all fields that will be used in scales for an EX dashboards.

The solution I have implemented is to create an additional “empty” question in the primary data source survey. I hide this question with display logic so that it is never shown to survey respondents taking the primary data source survey. Therefore, this survey never collects data in this question. Then in the data mapper/modeler, I map this empty question into all questions from the non-primary data sources that don’t have a corresponding question to map to the primary data source.
