I have a forced response question that has several options/assertions that I want to be rated on a scale of 1 to 7. I have added a final option/assertion that is called “other”. As I say, this question has the forced response, but I don't want the “other” option/assertion to be forced, as it forces you to put anything in order to continue. It is an optional statement that can only be used optionally if the respondent comes up with something different.
