I took over survey ownership for a survey that is an ongoing survey (years). The logic has been updated over time so that some of the display logic is not met and therefore the questions are no longer being showed to the respondents. The survey has like twenty questions, but about 8 of those are “no longer active” due to display logic conditions. I would like to clean up the survey on the backend so that it is not so cumbersome to look at on the back end, but I want to make sure that those responses from those to be deleted questions remain intact. What are the implications to removing those questions that are no longer active? Will previous responses stay intact? My other question is what is best practice on this - just remove the question, keep it in the trash rather than emptying the trash and “fully” deleting?

Hello
If these questions already have collected responses then it’s not the best practice to delete those questions. Once you delete the questions, data related to that question will also be deleted. If you don’t want to show these questions to customers just add a display logic as ‘True/False - False’. This logic will help you to not to show this question to customers.
I would suggest not to delete questions which already have collected data.
Let me know if this helps.
