Dynamically adjust drop down based on previous question | XM Community

Hi All,

I’m a completely new Qualtrics user, looking to see if this functionality is possible.

 

I’m looking to see if I can dynamically adjust the options in my drop-down choices based on the previously submitted choice.

 

For example, if the first question was “What is your location” and I choose “Australia” as my selection, then the second drop-down box will adjust itself, and show 4 options based on my initial selection of “Australia”. If I chose “US” as my location, then the second drop-down box will show 5 options instead.

 

The knowledge of this data would be preferably imported in from a .csv file.

 

I also don’t have any knowledge of JS, but I am willing to learn.

Try and use drilldown question type instead of multichoice it would be better for your use case.

But yes you can also use choice level display logic on dropdown and it will only show the values you need but it would be hectic I guess.
