Embedded data changes

At the start of the year, my organization changed sales hierarchy nomenclature and account reassignment (e.g. Level 1, Level 2, Level 3 to Tier 1, Tier 2, Tier 3). There is also not a 1 to 1 change - accounts have been realigned so Level 1 does not necessarily equal Tier 1.  Now, I cannot trend data from 2024 in a Tracker due to nomenclature change -- embedded data fields don’t match. How can I insert the new embedded data fields into the 2024-2025 responses without going response by response?  Is there a way in the Directory to update respondents? I know I need to add the new embedded data field into Survey Flow. Do I have to export all responses, insert new embedded data fields and import?
