Error in Multiple Choice Question answer options | XM Community

Hello community 
Help me to correct this error that the user made and that is shown wrong in the dashboard...

As you can see this question is a Multiple Choice question, surely you have created several answer options but then left only 3, so now qualtrics left the numbers 1, 12 and 13 ... and we need to be 1, 2 and 3 ... 

 


Do you know how to correct this ... because I don't know how QC assigns the IDs to the options....

hey @Aine you can find an option called ‘recode values’ on the left hand side where the values assigned to the choices can be changed.

Also, after changing the values to 1,2 3; it wont change the values retroactively for the already recorded responses. You’ll have to manually edit them during the dashboard data set configuration.

But I ask you ... doing this way that you indicate me, I do not break the theme of internal IDs that qualtrics generate with each response option?

@Aine can you please elaborate by what do you mean by internal IDs?

  1. Qualtrics assign Question IDs to each question which is unique and cannot be changed by any means.
yellow part is called the Question ID.
  1. Recode Values - 
    red part is called the recode values is you will be changing using my method and these are IDs that will be recoded with each new response coming into the system
