I would like to use the essay text box to enter a long text describing how the data will be used in my Delphi survey. For this purpose I would like to remove the input field, but I do not know how to do it. Do you have any idea if and how this could be done?

Assuming you want to show just the instruction/ introduction for your survey, you can use Text/Graphic question for this.
