Hi Community,

I have two parts to my Survey which needs to be based on member lists (contact lists). One list is say people who attended the event and another who did not. I need the segments/blocks to show only to the correct person belonging to the respective group. How do i make this work?

I’m thinking adding an email entering question and using display logic - embedded data to verify but how do I add 300+ emails in that logic?

Is there an easy way to do this?

Good morning from a windy Sweden!

You can do it in different ways. If you have the data at hand before you send out the survey you can have it as an embedded data point from the target list like “attended_previous” =1 or a 0 and base your display logic on that.

Oterwise you can ask in the survey “Did you attend X?” and then base the display logic on their selection.

Hi @mdaruka

Another solution for this is to create a contact list for the 300+ emails and then use authenticator in  the survey.

I would probably use Branch logic in the Survey Flow and control your blocks from there, but it all depends on what your survey looks like.

Otherwise you can it on certain question in the survey builder itself.

@krbhavya I tried that but its not doing what I want. I will still need email to verify right?

@mdaruka yes, email or any other unique identifier is required to create contact list as well as the  authenticator

@MattiasM

Branch logic is working. The only other thing is it still needs a contact list authentication. What if I dont want that additional step?

I dont know why you need an authenticator. This would work without one anyway. I’ve never used an authenticator and I use display logic and branch logic all the time. I do have full control of my target list though, so I already know who I am asking to take the survey.

yes if you don’t want to use any kind of authentication then as suggested by @MattiasM you can create a consent question in the beginning of the survey if participant selects ‘yes’ then show the part of survey which is for people who attended the event and if the participant selects ‘no’ then show the part of survey which is for people who have not attended the event.
