How can I delete answers from my survey?

Hello :-)
I am using qualtrics for the first time and I would like to delete some of the answers on my survey completely. The reason why I want to delete them is because I only need 140 participants, but now i have about 180... I tired to delete them in the "data and analysis" section and it did delete the answers but it always left an empty row behind. ALSO it does not delete the answers in the report section.
in the picture below you can see the empty row that left behind when trying to delete something:

Then there's some other issue. I suggest contacting support.

    Click on the check boxes toward the left. Then you'll see a drop down get activated which says "with selected" there you can delete the one's you want.

    Thats what i tried, but it didn't really work because there is always a blank row left behind.. :/
