How to add embedded data based on responses to question set | XM Community
Skip to main content

I have a question set of 3 KPIs. I would like to have some note in the survey responses for those that respond very high to all three questions and another note if they response very low to all three questions. Do I do this in survey flow with embedded data? Do I need custom code? Another option? Clear directions for any suggested solution is appreciated!

Hi @Hillary Blevins ,

As the question set are of unknown type, it can be text or numbers and it also depends on how you determine the condition for very high or very low.

I would suggest setting up 2 branch logic in survey flow.

First branch with condition for very high, embedded data resultvalue=high*.

Second branch with condition for very low. embedded data resultvalue=low*.

Your data & analysis tab will have an embedded data resultvalue that will show high* or low* depending on the question set.

*Replace high or low with the note/text that you prefer.

Yes adding branches in survey flow is what I am hoping to do. I am looking for instructions on how to assign an embedded data result based on the specific combination of responses to three questions. I need to add logic/calculation to the embedded data string.

Hi @Hillary Blevins ,

Due to the limited information being shared above, you may wish to refer to Branch Logic (qualtrics.com) & Embedded Data (qualtrics.com) to find out more and proceed to customise your survey flow accordingly to your preference.
