Inline question not recording

I’m having an issue using inline question in my email distribution.  In my testing I can click on the NPS question to answer from the email.  In doing so, it takes me to the questionnaire as expected.  I close it not wanting to answer any other questions.  When I then look in responses in progress, I can see my ‘started survey’ but my answer to the inline question is not showing.  Does anyone have a fix for this?  I would expect the answer to the one NPS question to eventually carry forward to the rest of the completed responses since it is an answer to an inline question.

Hi ​@Marcy - Can you show the exact piped text link (ie are you using ${l://ChoiceLink/QIDX/X} )  to insert the inline question/answer choice into your email?

 

When the link is generated from a ChoiceLink piped text field, the generated link should include a field in the URL where Q_PopulateValidate=1. This flag is what should allow inline questions to record the response even when not progressing to the next page. You can also check the links in a test email to see if the Q_PopulateValidate=1 flag is included in the URL.

@jake_dufinetz  - Thank you for trying to help me.  I’m not exactly sure I understand but this is what is showing for my inline question…
 

 I’ve compared the above to an inline question email I used last year and it appears to match.  Last year the inline question worked as expected but it isn’t this year.

Hi ​@Marcy,

Once you Close the Survey in Qualtrics, the responses in progress will get recorded in the Recorded Responses, and you will have the value captured for each NPS question.
Since it’s an Inline email question, you answer the NPS question but did not click the next button, the progress shows 0% by default.

Hi ​@Marcy, When you click on survey session id in response in progress tab, you can see the NPS answer selected from email. The survey completion percentage will not get updated unless the respondent clicks on next.
