I am new to qualtrics and have little experience with technology. I am trying to calculate a Pittsburg Sleep Quality Index which requires a calculation between three different questions. Can anyone help me figure out how to do this within Qualtrics? I am willing to pay for hours spent tutoring/helping.

@vanessa.p  Very little information to help, have you collected data using Qualtrics (seems you are a bit new)?

@wuaham, yes, I have spent about one month within Qualtrics and have very little technical experience :/

Have you looked into the scoring help documentation? https://www.qualtrics.com/support/survey-platform/survey-module/survey-tools/scoring/

Taking a quick look at the PSQI, it looks like the question types are fairly straightforward and should work well with the scoring functionality. This will allow you to show the respondent their score (or not). Alternatively, you can recode response options to their PSQI score so that you can calculate it manually after collecting the data (or in the data field editor).

@vanessa.p : Okay, Qualtrics is a survey platform that allows you to collect data from participants. Once you’ve gathered your data, the next step is analysis—which falls under your responsibilities. While Qualtrics does provide some basic statistical tools and results, to my knowledge, it does not support PSQI (Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index) scoring directly.

You can use Qualtrics to design and distribute surveys online. However, to recruit participants, you’ll typically need to use a third-party platform such as Positly, Prolific, Connect, SONA, or others, depending on your budget and research requirements.

One point to consider: using only three questions to calculate the PSQI is unusual. The standard PSQI involves a more comprehensive set of items, so unless you're developing a new methodology, this approach (only with three question) might not yield valid results. I hope this clarifies things.
