Hi all,
I hope this message finds you well.
I am currently designing an anonymous survey using Qualtrics and am seeking guidance on best practices to prevent bots from entering and triggering fake responses, especially when sharing the survey via an anonymous link on public platforms (e.g., social media).
One approach is to embed the Qualtrics survey link behind a button on a simple HTML page, such as a Google Site. The idea is that bots typically look for raw, publicly exposed links and do not execute JavaScript or simulate user clicks. By hiding the link behind a button or within an embedded script, the survey becomes significantly less accessible to basic bots, which improves data quality and protects against automated spam.
From a technical standpoint, could you advise whether this method may be effective in reducing bot access to my survey?
Embedding a Qualtrics anonymous survey link within an HTML page or Google Site in this way violates any terms of service or survey behaviour expectations?
