I’m on the Results Dashboard trying to add a filter that is based on my first question, which is a required multiple choice question with two answer options. When I click the button to add a filter, the first question does not appear in the list of options. Any thoughts on why and how to resolve? (Screen shots of the item and the filter screen are attached.) Thanks so much!

 

hi cbowers, try adding one hidden question (say Timing) before Q1 and check, though its not a 100% correct approach. i just did it and able see the same in filter the responses. please try it once.

 


A couple ideas:

  1. Is the filter for that question listed lower down on the list of questions (since your screen shot didn’t include the entire filter drop-down)?
  2. Do you have any recorded responses to the survey which include responses to Q1? I think that filters do not show up as an option if there is no recorded response to that question yet (I’m not positive on this point, but it’s something to check).
  3. Try creating a new filter using a different question (e.g., Q2), and then editing that filter to change the question to filter on Q1 instead: click on “Field” and see if the drop-down there includes Q1 as an option, like so:
